name is Chris Brinckerhoff

so that I can give you a little background about NU-CASTLE Unlimited LLC. I
have been in the painting and remodeling field since 1979. I
started out working as an apprentice for a gentleman who ran a successful residential
painting service in Ridgefield, CT. During my time with him, I learned the importance
of being neat and thorough, and he taught me the importance of providing quality
service. In short, through his teaching, I gained the confidence and skill needed
to build my own career. In 1984,
I began working independently and NU-CASTLE Unlimited was eventually formed.
The traits of neatness and quality workmanship that were instilled in me by
my mentors during my early years as a contractor, have become an integral part
of what NU-CASTLE is today. With the hundreds of homes we had improved over
the years through painting, wallpapering, restoring, and remodeling, we became
more recognized in our field. As my business grew, I realized that I
would need to find a partner who embraced the same work ethics and ideals as
I did in order to help fulfill the needs of my clients on a grander scale. In
the late 1980's, Pride Carpentry and NU-CASTLE Unlimited had been working together
on various projects, and at that time Richard Schlemmer, Pride Carentry's Owner,
was looking to diversify his business to better serve his clients as well. It
seemed only fitting that we would eventually combine our efforts to form a full-service
home improvement company.
Richard Schlemmer has
been in the building and remodeling field since the early 1960's, and was the
CO-owner of a successful custom kitchen cabinet building and installation company
for over a decade of that time, which still remains in business to this day.
As he began to notice the increasing need for quality craftsman in the remodeling
industry, he sold his half of the kitchen business and re-entered the building
and remodeling field full-time. Since 1972, Richard has
been building new homes and additions, as well as remodeling kitchens and bathrooms
throughout Connecticut. In 1983, Richard was elected
Chapter President of The Remodeling Contractors Association, a highly respected
organization that provides support for fellow contractors.....
In 1993, NU-CASTLE Unlimited and Pride Carpentry united
to form a full-service home improvement company, and NU-CASTLE Unlimited LLC
was born. Through our alliance, we have assembled a team of some of the finest
licensed contractors in their respective fields, who hold the same high principles
we do, which helps to set us apart from other contracting companies.
Richard is now a Director with the Remodelers Association,
and both of us are dedicated to giving our clients guaranteed, quality craftsmanship,
as well as bringing with us the knowledge and skill that comes from our many
years of experience. .
